The 2018 National League Championship Series (NLCS) is here, and it’s more interesting than ever because of the so many once in a lifetime things it has got. This NLCS is different from all others played till now in many ways, as you’ll see in the sections given below. Therefore, the excitement around it is also a lot more than ever. The championship will be played between two leading teams of the National League, and whoever wins it will get to compete against the champion of American League in 2018 MLB World Series.
As you can see, this is the route to be considered among world champions of Baseball. Both teams, therefore, will fight neck-and-neck to win this series so they can ensure a spot for themselves in the 2018 World Series. This explains why a lot of excitement is seen around this series year-on-year. So here we’ve compiled for you an article of everything that you may want to know about NLCS 2018 before it begins. Let’s get started.
National League Championship Series (NLCS) 2018 Teams
The teams for NLCS 2018 are Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers. While Brewers swept the Rockies in 3 games to win their first-round series, Dodgers stopped Braves in their first-round series to enter NLCS. Both of them have come here after tiebreaker wins in their divisions (which has never happened in the history of NLCS), and this is also the first time when these teams are facing off each other in a postseason game.
Now let’s take a look at how these teams stack against each other. Brewers are currently at their best with a score of 96-67 in comparison to 92-71 of Dodgers, and they’ll also have a home-field advantage within the first two games of the series. However, Dodgers are also not to be taken lightly – they’ve traditionally been heavy on Brewers as they snatched 4 out of 7 regular season games from them. They’ve also defeated Brewers at their home ground Miller Park in 2 out of 3 games played between July 20 and July 22.

If needed, three more games can be was, with first of them being played at Dodger Stadium and other two at Miller Park.
Game 1 will begin at 08:09 PM, while the timing for other matches is yet to be announced (we can safely assume prime time for Game 1, 3 and six because there won’t be any ALCS games to compete). Starting pitcher for Loss Angeles Dodgers is Clayton Kershaw, while for Milwaukee Brewers the pitcher is yet to be announced.
NLCS 2018 Sponsors
Both NLCS as well as ALCS was earlier rumored to be sponsored by Google Assistant, but for some strange reason, the name of Google Assistant has now been taken off from MLB’s page describing the schedule of Postseason. The reason behind this silent omission is still not known, and it remains to be seen who’ll sponsor both these postseason games.
So this is everything we know till now about National League Championship Series 2018. Rest will be known after 12th of October as the series begins. Who are your favorites? Dodgers or Brewers?
